Privacy Policy

Pro Mouse doesn't collect your data. Period.

What we collect

Nothing. Pro Mouse has no analytics, no accounts, no tracking, and no advertising. It does not talk to any server. The app is sandboxed by macOS and has no network access of any kind.

Screen Recording permission

Zoom uses macOS screen capture solely to render the magnifier on your screen, in the moment. Captured frames are drawn and discarded on your Mac. Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted. Without network access, nothing could be.

Accessibility permission

If you enable custom shortcuts or Keystrokes, Pro Mouse uses the Accessibility permission only to notice the keys you press: to match your chosen key combinations, and to draw keystrokes on screen in the moment. Keystrokes are never logged, stored, or transmitted, and secure fields like passwords are never shown.

Your settings

Preferences (colors, sizes, shortcuts) are stored locally on your Mac and never leave it.

Purchases

Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. We never see your payment details.

This website

promouse.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and links get used. It sets a cookie so a repeat visit can be told apart from a new one, and it sends usage data (pages viewed, rough location, browser type) to Google. This applies to the website only: the app itself still collects nothing. Standard, transient server logs may also exist at our hosting provider (AWS) for security and operations.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at promouse.app/privacy with an updated effective date.
